Colin Davis Nathan Wade is a Seattle-based purveyor of post-apocalyptic American roots rock, flecked with bits of country, post-punk and blues, then sandblasted down to the bare steel. This EP, themed around the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (from the Book of Revelation), is a breakneck-speed guided tour of everything that makes this band incredible, and serves as a delightful prequel for their full-length album "The Gospel of Rust." (Yeah, I know it was released long before the EP, but work with me.) Favorite track: White Horse.

It’s a cinematic trip down a desolate highway as the dashboard rattles apart and the truck radio blasts songs of murder, drug abuse, and Biblical arcana. ... more
